Exfoliation and Facials

Exfoliating helps buff away dull and dead skin cells, while increasing cellular turnover, to reveal smoother skin. You can get rid of built-up oils, unclog your pores, and fade acne scars through regular exfoliation. Exfoliating also helps your other skin care products to absorb deeper into your skin and work better. You can exfoliate with tools, scrubs, or leave-on treatments.
Forms of Exfoliation:
Mechanical exfoliants are tools used to physically remove dead skin cells. This includes things like a brush, razor, or even a wash cloth.
Physical exfoliants are products that scrub off the first layer of skin. This includes wash-off masks or exfoliating cleansers with beads.
Chemical exfoliants use acids to dissolve dead skin cells; this includes facial peels.

Exfoliating Products

  • Face Shaving is also known as dermaplaning. This is a way to mechanically exfoliate, and shave of the outermost layer of your skin. I like to use a tinkle razor 1-2 times a month to mechanically exfoliate.
  • Exfoliating Brushes can gently exfoliate and scrub your face as you wash it. I have a silicone exfoliating brush that is gentle enough use whenever I was my face.
  • Clear Pore Cleanser is formulated with jojoba beads to help gently exfoliate and remove impurities when you cleanse daily.
  • Charcoal Mask uses salicylic acids and charcoal to draw out impurities and exfoliate in 10 minutes. It clears pores and acts as a physical exfoliant when you wash it off.
  • Overnight Resurfacing Peel contains AHA and BHA to clear away dull surfaces cells and reveal a renewed complexion.
  • AHA Smoothing Facial Mask has AHA to chemically exfoliate and bamboo particles to physically exfoliate. I use it once a week to transform my skin in just 10 minutes.
